A genuine SRAM Red 10-speed carbon road chainset from SRAM’s flagship mechanical groupset era.

Lightweight carbon crank arms with a 53/39T standard double chainring combination and unusually short 165mm crank arms. A good option for a period-correct high-end road build, restoration project, or rider looking for shorter cranks.

A Word from Sorcha Rosa

This SRAM Red chainset comes from an era when top-end road components were becoming lighter, stiffer and increasingly sophisticated, but were still relatively straightforward to work on. Red was SRAM’s flagship groupset, and these carbon cranks were proper race equipment.

The 165mm crank length is particularly interesting. Shorter cranks are much more widely discussed and used now, but they were considerably less common when this generation of Red was current. Paired with the traditional 53/39 racing combination, it makes for a lovely piece of relatively recent cycling history that is still perfectly capable of being ridden.

As always with the parts I sell, this is used equipment rather than something polished up to pretend it has never seen a bicycle. The marks are part of its history, and I’ve photographed it as it is.
