Description
A rare early Giant composite carbon road fork with 1” threaded steerer tube, dating from the late 1990s / early 2000s period when composite fork technology was beginning to appear on higher-end road bikes.
These forks are becoming increasingly difficult to find, particularly in threaded format.
The fork features:
- composite carbon fork blades
- threaded 1” steerer
- narrow road spacing
- classic curved blade profile
- lightweight construction
- period Giant branding
Steerer appears stamped “135” and measures approximately 135 mm usable length as shown in photographs. Please check measurements carefully for compatibility with your frame and headset setup.
Ideal for:
- vintage Giant restorations
- retro lightweight road builds
- steel frame upgrades
- period-correct late 90s / early 2000s projects
- collectors of early composite cycling components
Condition is used vintage condition with cosmetic marks from age and storage. Fork should be inspected and installed by a competent mechanic before use, as with all vintage carbon components.
A very uncommon fork now, particularly in threaded configuration.

💬 A Word from Sorcha Rosa
Early composite forks like this are a really interesting part of cycling history because they sit right at the transition between traditional steel racing bikes and modern carbon technology. Finding threaded examples now is getting genuinely difficult.
